The use of square gongs also aid in generating a harmonious sound and Cartier also employs an “inertia and friction” governor to add consistency in the striking of the hammers. With regards to the famous Cartier style, well, the image of the watch speaks for itself.
Collectors might want to take note that this new in-house movement, calibre 9402, bears the Hallmark of Geneva or Poincon de Geneve.
