Executives of Cartier Pasha Replica Inc. said Friday they will temporarily shutter their Michigan Avenue store in order that it can be renovated to look more like its sister stores in Paris, London, New York and Beverly Hills.
While the 630 N. Michigan store is being remodeled beginning next week, Cartier Tank Replica will relocate temporarily to a store at 909 N. Michigan.
The renovation is part of a spurt of construction activity that began unfolding last summer with the announcement of a four-story retail shopping center at Michigan Avenue and Superior Street and the redevelopment of the former I. Magnin & Co. store at 830 N. Michigan Ave.

The store will maintain the recognizable Cartier facade with slightly altered green marble accents and new awnings featuring the Cartier logo.
Inside, the company's collection will be divided between a fine jewelry salon and a boutique salon where its accessories department will be housed.
The remodeled store will be just north of a proposed four-story retail development that is to be built in the 600 block of North Michigan by the John Buck Co.
